NAME | Sterling Cling
BIRTHDAY | August 10, 1996
HOME TOWN | Tempe, AZ
Starting his racing career in 2010, Sterling Cling hit the dirt and hasn't looked back since.
Cling, an Arizona native, found his love for racing and a second home at dirt tracks at age 14 where he began racing Trophy Karts in the Lucas Oil Off Road series. With 3 years of valuable knowledge and seat time, he made the decision to transition into something more.
After making the switch to the Pro Buggy in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, Cling quickly saw great success. Within 2 years, he had more than 40 regional & national Pro Buggy wins under his belt. In 2017, Sterling was not only named the Pro Buggy World Champion, but he also clenched the Super Buggy World Championship as well.
Wanting more, Cling made the jump into what could be named the biggest and baddest dirt race cars of all time: Sprint Cars. For years, Cling focus his time and energy into his non-wing racing career, racing with USAC, CRA, MSCS, BOSS, XTreme Outlaws, and many other local shows across the mid-west.
This year, with the help of his legendary crew chief, Mikey Kuemper, Sterling made the jump into a Wing Sprint Car and there is no looking back! Cling will be splitting his time between multiple series including World of Outlaws, High Limit, MWSS, and many more.
With over 80 races on his schedule for 2024, Sterling continues full speed ahead piloting the 34 car, hungry for success and always wanting more.
